Ayurvedia Vatki Foot and Leg Massage

This unique form of Ayurvedic massage focuses on the feet and legs. A sacred blend of metals from India make up a small, hand held bowl called “vatki,” which is use during the treatment. Through the use of the vatki and hands, pressure and massage are applied to the feet and legs to stimulate overall balance. During this treatment energy centres called marma points are stimulated, as well as all of the nerves of the feet.

This treatment is ideal for those who suffer with foot/leg pain, including plantar fasciitis. Many clients experience improvements in other areas of their health, including stress reduction, improved circulation, sleep, digestion and more.

All treatments are provided at the Ballyneety Innovation Hub (eircode V94 7W13), just 15 minutes outside Limerick City.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR TREATMENT

This treatment is performed with you lying down (or semi-reclined), fully clothed except for the feet and lower legs. Vatki massage is deeply relaxing and helps restore and rebalance all your body systems, including your nervous system. Many clients will fall asleep during the treatment. Each session takes approximately 45 minutes (plus 10 minutes for a consultation since your last treatment) and costs €60 per visit.

    • Your first appointment will begin with a brief consultation reviewing your health history and what you hope to gain from the treatment. This will help tailor the treatment for your needs. The hands-on part of the treatment is a minimum of 45 minutes.

  • In most cases, yes. If you are sensitive to products, we can always work around that and use the most gentle of oils. The pressure applied to the skin is tailored to your needs and my goal is to always ensure you are comfortable. If your skin is very dry, cracked or you have psoriasis/eczema, I would avoid treating over particularly inflamed areas.

    The products used during the treatment may contain the following: ghee or organic shea butter (vegan).

  • The vatki bowl used during the treatment is made of three metals, including copper, zinc and tin.

  • Yes! I'm also a trained maternity reflexologist so your treatment can be tailored to support your needs. This treatment is completely fine during these life stages.
