WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?

Sound healing (often called sound therapy) is an effective therapy because it influences our emotional bodies as well as our physical bodies. We know that emotional imbalances, and particularly stress, are at the root of many physical dis-eases. When we address these emotional states, we can improve physical symptoms. One of the most important results of sound therapy treatments is stress reduction, relaxation and supporting the nervous system.

When the sound of singing bowls are placed directly on the body, they vibrate along the meridians in the body, helping balance them. This may be felt as slight tingling in the muscles if there are any blockages along these meridian, or energy lines. Through sound therapy, we are bringing balance back into the body and promote self-healing.

An increasing number of mainstream medical and education institutions around the world use the healing affects of singing bowls and gongs as a vital process of cancer treatment. The Deepak Chopra Centre in California has found that the sound of singing bowls is chemically metabolised in the body as the endogenous opioid, which works as internal medicine and pain reduction.

INDIVIDUAL SOUND THERAPY SESSION

Enjoy a unique sound therapy experience where therapeutic singing bowls are placed on various parts of the body. This direct contact allows the vibrations to work more effectively and more deeply within the body. Prior to your treatment, we will review where the bowls are placed, which areas you are/are not comfortable with and how I can ensure you have a pleasant, relaxing experience. In addition, you are welcome to add in other sound therapy instruments if you like, which may include crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums and more. All sessions are at the Ballyneety Hub and last approximately 50 min.— €60. Book your best date/time below.
